What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Learning Experience Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- In-person: Beverly Hills, CA; La Jolla (San Diego), CA; Piedmont, CA; South Bay (LA), CA; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Raleigh, NC; New York City, NY; Seattle, WA (relocation support provided)
- $200,000/year, paid weekly | Day-one health, dental, and vision
Students at Alpha don't passively absorb lectures. They advance through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your mission is ensuring three commitments are fulfilled for every child in your cohort: they enjoy school, they progress at 2x speed, and they acquire skills traditional curricula don't address. You simultaneously coach the Guides who uphold these same commitments throughout your campus.
Data informs every choice and every interaction is in-person. Your time is divided between your own student cohort and the Guides you develop — and the expectation remains constant for both: demonstrable growth, without exception. When a Guide's session underperforms, you don't draft documentation; you observe, debrief, and resolve it that same afternoon.
You'll witness reserved children present with confidence to adults. You'll see a student who "despised school" request to remain after hours. And you'll recognize that the standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their transformation, because upholding the bar demonstrates your belief in their ability to surpass it.
You may be establishing a brand-new campus from the ground up and setting the culture that will shape the school. As the campus evolves, your emphasis transitions from operational startup mode to coaching leadership, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's model throughout your region.
If that appeals to you, apply now.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour live life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K-8 students on subjects including public speaking and focus, adhering to Alpha's structured playbook
- Conducting daily motivation sessions that ensure 100% of students reach their weekly app targets using age-appropriate incentives such as school currency and leaderboards
- Developing Guides through observation, specific feedback, and practical training so they facilitate sessions with the same precision and energy you model
- Analyzing Coachbot analytics and student profiles to determine who requires intervention, then personally intervening
- Directly mentoring your own student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivation approaches you require from every Guide
- Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress through adaptive apps; your responsibility is making the people around them exceptional.
- Delivering traditional lectures to a classroom. You're 80% entertainer, 20% subject-matter expert; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this isn't the role.
- Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or administrators. If a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll receive full support to maintain that standard.
- Working from an office reviewing administrative documents. The majority of your day is spent face-to-face with students and Guides.
- Waiting weeks for performance evaluations. Results are available live in Coachbot and adjustments occur the same day.
Fulfill Alpha's 3 Promises across your cohort and the Guides you develop: every child enjoys school, progresses at 2x pace, and develops authentic life skills.
