What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Learning Experience Manager, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- On-site position in Greenwich, CT | Bethesda, MD | Chicago, IL | Piedmont, CA
- Annual compensation of $200,000, disbursed weekly. Full health, dental, and vision benefits effective day one
- Relocation assistance provided
Alpha students do not attend traditional lectures. They advance through adaptive applications, achieve content mastery at double the speed of conventional classrooms, and simultaneously develop practical life competencies. Your mandate is to ensure three commitments are fulfilled for every student in your cohort: genuine enthusiasm for school, accelerated learning at 2x velocity, and acquisition of competencies that transcend standard curriculum. You will also develop the Guides who execute these commitments throughout your campus.
Each morning begins with data review. Analytics identify students progressing on schedule and those requiring additional support. By mid-morning you facilitate live workshops, guiding K-8 students through public speaking or concentration techniques using Alpha's established framework. Post-lunch involves observing a Guide's session, followed by delivering three precise action items to refine their execution. On certain days you serve as the motivational catalyst during team huddles, converting leaderboard rankings into momentum. You maintain direct engagement with your student cohort while simultaneously training Guides to meet your benchmark, and as their capability grows, your influence extends from a single cohort across an entire campus.
You will observe reserved children present with confidence to adults. You will witness a student who previously "despised school" request extended time. And you will recognize that the standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their transformation, because upholding the bar demonstrates your belief in their capacity to reach it.
If you have demolished performance records, transformed struggling performers into top achievers, and are prepared to accomplish this for children: submit your application now.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour live workshops with K-8 students focused on life competencies including public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange, adhering to Alpha's established playbook
- Developing Guides through direct observation, precise feedback delivery, and practical training to ensure they execute workshops with equivalent energy and accuracy
- Conducting daily motivation sessions designed to propel 100% of students toward weekly learning targets using developmentally appropriate incentives such as school currency and leaderboards
- Analyzing Coachbot analytics and student profiles to pinpoint students requiring intervention, then executing personal intervention strategies
- Directly mentoring your own small student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivation techniques you require from every Guide
- Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress through adaptive applications; your responsibility is elevating the people who support them.
- Delivering traditional lectures to a classroom. You are 80% entertainer, 20% content expert; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this role is not suitable.
- Permitting exceptions when a student is "nearly there." 100% mastery represents the standard, and reducing it does not constitute compassion.
- Working from an office processing administrative documents. The majority of your time is spent in direct interaction with students and Guides.
Execute Alpha's 3 Promises: every student loves school, achieves learning at 2x velocity, and masters life competencies, throughout your cohort and the cohorts managed by your Guides.
