What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Admissions Counselor, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
Most admissions positions are designed for throughput. This position is designed to uphold rigor.
Alpha is developing one of the most forward-thinking educational frameworks in existence. Our schools combine demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely exceed national learning benchmarks, supported by verifiable data. Afternoons are reserved for deeper exploration, self-directed work, and practical competency development. The model is effective. But effectiveness depends entirely on selecting families who are truly aligned.
That is your responsibility.
You will manage every phase of the enrollment process for a campus—from initial inquiry to complete onboarding. This is not a relay role. You own how families perceive us, how fully they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices are made with the correct motivations. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when warranted. The objective is not maximal capacity. The objective is mutual fit.
We welcome applicants from elite service backgrounds outside conventional schooling: independent schools, competitive admissions programs, high-end hospitality, executive concierge roles, exclusive membership clubs, or entrepreneurs who have directly stewarded premium client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to manage a relationship-intensive, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparency, and operational discipline.
If you have built a career delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and client experience define brand value, this position will be intuitive—simply redirected toward work that genuinely influences life trajectories.
This is a salaried, full-time, on-campus position. Current openings are in Santa Monica, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Piedmont, Palm Springs, Charlotte, and Raleigh. Relocation assistance is provided.
