Our 2-Hour Learning framework combines AI-adaptive technology with skilled teaching to accelerate reading progress. Your role: create and facilitate workshops that produce measurable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, and support the expansion of this program to campuses nationwide.
This position is not about administrative lesson planning. It involves data-informed teaching, technology partnership, and constructing a reading initiative that serves thousands of students effectively.

What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, comprehension, and fluency development
- Creating personalized motivational sessions that leverage gamified literacy benchmarks
- Examining student performance data to adjust instruction and identify actionable insights
- Partnering with engineers to assess and improve AI literacy platforms based on classroom outcomes
- Building scalable, AI-supported content that helps early elementary students reach grade-level reading proficiency
Reading Specialist key responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree plus advanced certification in reading instruction (such as Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience providing small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
- Capable of assessing reading levels, grouping students, and creating differentiated instruction independent of pre-packaged curricula
- Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and able to respond to student interactions within these systems
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without need for sponsorship
- Availability to work on-site at one of our locations: Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Plano, TX; Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
