What are the responsibilities and job description for the Performance Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- On-site position available in Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; or Park City (Salt Lake City), UT
- $150,000 annual salary, distributed weekly. Full health benefits begin on day one
- Considering relocation? Support is provided
At Alpha, this isn't a philosophical question. It's the foundation of daily operations. Academic learning happens through self-directed applications, not instructor-led lectures. This structure allows you to focus on what truly drives transformation: facilitating dynamic workshops on topics like public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback. You'll use live analytics to motivate students toward complete mastery of every objective. You'll also develop the Guides working beside you. Your resources include performance data, a tested operational framework, and the personal impact that captures attention rather than loses it.
A typical morning may begin with individual coaching for a Guide, analyzing Coachbot data to pinpoint where a group is underperforming. By midday, you're facilitating an interactive student workshop—delivering a structured activity on feedback exchange. Afternoons are dedicated to motivational work: one-on-one conversations with students to understand their intrinsic drivers, then applying Alpha's reward structures (campus currency, performance rankings) to re-engage a hesitant middle schooler. Because you directly manage a cohort, you continuously practice the competencies you're training others to master.
Three metrics define your success: students develop a genuine love for school, they advance academically at double the traditional rate, and they acquire essential life competencies. Guide coaching begins immediately upon your arrival. As you consistently produce results across your campus, your authority over program-wide quality expands.
Uphold the expectation. Transform the learner. Submit your application today.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating structured one-hour life skills workshops (public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange) for students in grades K-8, adhering to Alpha's established framework
- Conducting targeted motivation sessions informed by Coachbot analytics and Alpha's reward mechanisms (campus currency, performance rankings) to achieve 100% goal attainment across all students
- Developing Guides through focused coaching on program adherence and enforcement of standards, ensuring each session yields specific, actionable next steps
- Managing your own assigned student cohort while simultaneously supporting Guide development
- Monitoring student engagement scores, objective completion percentages, and Guide effectiveness indicators
- Delivering academic instruction or one-on-one tutoring. Content mastery occurs via digital platforms.
- Creating lesson plans or curriculum materials. Alpha's framework serves as your operational blueprint, allowing full attention to delivery and relationship-building.
- Accepting 99% completion when the standard is 100%. Maintaining this boundary demonstrates your confidence in student capability.
- Training Guides on instructional methods. Since Guides facilitate rather than teach, your coaching centers on presence, motivation, and accountability.
Fulfill Alpha's 3 Promises for every student within your assigned level: cultivate genuine enthusiasm for school, accelerate learning to twice the pace of conventional classrooms, and develop meaningful life skills.
