What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Program Director, Alpha - $150,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- Onsite position in Austin, TX. Relocation assistance available
- $150,000 annual salary, with weekly pay
- Full health, dental, and vision coverage starting on day one
Alpha's approach to education breaks from conventional models. Our PreK program integrates play-driven curriculum with developmental tracking in real time — no scripted lessons, no checkbox compliance. You will create adaptive learning themes spanning all readiness areas, guide a team of educators to implement them with both precision and enthusiasm, and monitor each child's milestone achievements across the cohort.
This role is leadership in action. Approximately one-third of your time will be classroom-facing — demonstrating facilitation techniques, observing instruction, and conducting calibration sessions. The remainder involves curriculum development, coaching educators toward concrete and measurable outcomes, and delivering data-informed updates to families. The results will be visible: four-year-olds reaching developmental markers ahead of schedule, educators raising their performance ratings weekly, and parents championing the program.
Coach the educators. Shape the learning. Apply now.
What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitate one-on-one and small-group coaching for PreK educators, demonstrating effective methods and recognizing measurable progress
- Create and lead play-based instructional sessions integrating social-emotional learning, literacy, numeracy, and motor development, serving as a model for the teaching team
- Evaluate and align educator documentation on a weekly basis to ensure rubric consistency and clear actionability, conducting calibration meetings to maintain visibility on milestone tracking
- Develop family communications and conduct team alignment meetings that clarify priorities and reinforce collective commitment to campus-wide PreK readiness objectives
- Adhering to scripted lesson plans or compliance-heavy workflows — you'll create responsive, play-centered themes informed by developmental data
- Executing a predetermined curriculum from leadership — you own both the quarterly arc and the weekly instructional design
- Operating in a silo without structured feedback — coaching dialogues and calibration reviews are embedded in your weekly rhythm
- Supervising K-12 students using digital learning apps — this position is exclusively devoted to early childhood, in-person, classroom-based work
Advance campus-wide PreK readiness through educator coaching, program consistency, and classrooms that are both joyful and data-informed.
