What are the responsibilities and job description for the Math Education Specialist, gt.school (Remote) - $100,000/year USD position at Crossover?
You're a middle-school math specialist with a sharp eye for errors—someone who can catch a misplaced denominator across multiple browser tabs. You've worked directly with students in grades 4–8 through teaching or tutoring (or you bring equivalent depth and instinct), you craft feedback students can put into practice immediately, and you refuse to let "good enough" compromise what learners absorb.
We're developing an AI-driven math content platform that produces questions, articles, and videos at volume, but we reject the notion that volume has value if the mathematics is flawed or the teaching is unclear. The sector prizes "generate faster." We prioritize "deliver stronger." Your role serves as the human checkpoint preventing thousands of learners from encountering an AI's overconfident errors, weak explanations, or quietly compromised rigor.
This position centers on meticulous QC of AI-produced middle school math materials: verifying correctness, reasoning, developmental fit, and instructional quality; identifying conceptual pitfalls, vague language, and faulty logic; and delivering concise, structured feedback that enables rapid remediation by another team. The work demands precision, high standards, keen attention, and absolute intolerance for mathematically incorrect or pedagogically damaging content slipping through.
You'll function within the content workflow as the last safeguard before publication, reviewing materials submitted through spreadsheets or a proprietary interface and converting your expertise into clear issue documentation. If you can maintain speed without sacrificing accuracy, flag problems without verbose justification, and prioritize student mastery over deference to automation, you belong here.
What You Will Be Doing
GT School is revolutionizing education with AI, expert coaching, and 50 years of learning science. They blend cutting-edge tech with data-driven insights to unlock every student's full potential.
They're on a mission to disrupt the broken education system and unleash the true potential of gifted minds. Forget the one-size-fits-all approach that leaves brilliant students bored and disengaged.
This school has tossed the rulebook and created a modern learning environment powered by AI and guided by dedicated mentors. Their personalized approach accelerates learning - 2-6 times faster than traditional classrooms.
GT School students explore their passions, develop critical thinking skills, and learn to innovate.
Because that's where genius lies.
GT School is where gifted minds turn potential into power.
