What You Will Be Doing
- Conducting adaptive reading workshops focused on building core competencies in phonics, fluency, and comprehension
- Creating personalized motivational experiences that engage students and foster a lasting enthusiasm for reading
- Reviewing student performance metrics to iteratively improve your methods and identify actionable trends
- Working alongside the technical team to assess and refine AI-based literacy platforms
Learning Specialist key responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree plus advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience conducting small-group reading interventions with early elementary students
- Capable of evaluating reading proficiency, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction independently of pre-written curricula
- Comfortable using AI/adaptive learning platforms and adjusting to student interactions within those systems
- Legal work authorization in the U.S. without sponsorship requirements
- Available to work on-site at one of our locations: Chantilly (Washington), VA; Lake Forest (Orange County), CA; San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL; or New York City, NY

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
