What are the responsibilities and job description for the Innovation Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD position at Crossover?
You believe that the greatest kindness you can offer a student is the refusal to compromise standards. You have achieved, competed, or built something at a level most people only observe from a distance: elite-level athletics, graduation with distinction from a top-tier institution, selection into a highly competitive firm, or a venture you launched and grew yourself. Now imagine channeling that rigor into a space filled with K-12 students who have never encountered someone with your track record—someone willing to push them toward standards they never imagined reaching. If the idea of holding students to elite expectations strikes you as unkind, this role is not for you.
Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 learning to enable students to complete core academics in approximately two hours each day. The remaining time is dedicated to life skills, self-directed projects, and meaningful personal development. At Alpha's most demanding campuses, students require more than oversight. They require a credible mentor whose personal accomplishments establish the benchmark: someone capable of assessing group dynamics, shaping culture, and guiding students through resistance, distraction, and doubt.
Your role does not involve teaching. AI manages instructional delivery. Your responsibility is to inspire, coach, and uphold the same rigorous standards you have applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time is spent in direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching, diagnosing obstacles and establishing ambitious targets. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery rather than engagement alone. The final twenty percent is devoted to leading morning kickoffs that cultivate a campus culture where mediocrity has no place.
The trajectory here emphasizes depth over advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha's systems and earning the trust of students. Within a few months, you become the person they rely on to challenge them beyond their perceived limits. The payoff is not a title change. It is continuity: the same students, year after year, maturing with your guidance. It is witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September confidently address a room of adults by May.
This position remains student-centered. Students are the purpose, not a means to another opportunity. If you are seeking to leave your current role because of the mission rather than the credential, apply now.

What You Will Be Doing
- Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching sessions, utilizing Coachbot analytics and student performance data to identify obstacles, establish ambitious objectives, and ensure accountability for execution
