What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Project Coordinator, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $100,000/year USD position at Crossover?
Take over a building. Bring it to life. Hand the keys to ops and start over in the next city. Transform an empty shell into a fully functional school, deliver it on schedule and ready to operate, then move immediately to the next site. This is rapid-cycle delivery, repeating monthly. If this describes the pace you want, continue reading.
2 Hour Learning operates schools where students complete their academic curriculum in two hours, dedicating the remainder of their day to life skills, entrepreneurship, and opportunities traditional schooling rarely accommodates. The approach drives measurable outcomes: students performing in the top 1-2% nationally, progressing at double the standard rate. None of this is possible without a campus that's ready. Your role is to deliver exactly that: fully operational school facilities, on schedule and within budget, across an expanding footprint of micro schools, growth campuses, and flagship vertical campuses in major metropolitan areas.
Timelines are invariably tight. Move from building turnover to first day of school in weeks, not months. This requires orchestrating vendor workflows, monitoring dependencies on a daily basis, and leveraging AI to preempt every outstanding task before it risks causing a delay. After a campus launches, you transfer the site to the permanent operations team and proceed to the next build.
Begin with micro-campus projects — the highest-velocity, most replicable work in the portfolio. As the network grows to encompass growth and flagship campuses, so does the scale and intricacy of what you'll be overseeing.
When a school opens on schedule and students arrive on Day 1, your contribution is invisible. That's the hallmark of success. Apply today via our assessment process: a cognitive evaluation followed by a practical work sample.

What You Will Be Doing
- Overseeing the complete buildout for every assigned campus: coordinating FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) procurement and installation, interior construction, IT infrastructure, signage, and playspace from building turnover through opening day
- Executing a compressed delivery timeline against a fixed opening date: sequencing vendor work streams, managing interdependencies, and accelerating progress wherever the schedule demands
- Coordinating and approving vendor deliverables: issuing scopes of work, overseeing on-site execution, inspecting against specifications, and formally rejecting work that does not meet standards
- Leveraging AI tools to draft vendor scopes, create punch lists, monitor open items, and build handoff documentation — the pace of this role requires working this way
- Implementing standardized site deployment playbooks, confirming readiness upon completion, documenting structured feedback, and preparing the handoff to the ongoing operations team
- Overseeing steady-state facility operations once a campus is live: you transfer to the permanent ops team and advance to the next project
- Executing hands-on trades or installation work: your responsibility is to direct, inspect, and approve — not perform manual labor or technical installation
- Handling real estate acquisition, permitting, or certificate of occupancy: by the time you receive the building, those steps are complete
- Working on a single project at a deliberate pace: micro-campus buildouts progress rapidly, and the next one is always queued
- Navigating shared ownership or ambiguous accountability: every buildout has one person accountable from turnover to opening day
Deliver fully operational campuses on schedule and within budget, from building turnover through opening day.
Basic Requirements

- Proven vendor management capabilities: hold contractors accountable to quality standards and challenge substandard work
- Experience managing 2 or more concurrent projects or sites without losing track of details
- Consistent use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) to increase productivity and maintain organization
- Located in the US and authorized to work without visa sponsorship
- Able to travel 60–80% of the time (3–4 days/week)
- You've contributed to a physical buildout or site activation in any sector: retail, restaurants, healthcare, offices, or comparable
- Experience in construction project management, tenant improvement, commercial fit-out, or facilities management
- Any direct exposure to FF&E, IT setup, signage, or commercial interior work, even in a coordinator or assistant capacity
- You've worked with a project tracking tool (Wrike, Notion, Procore, Asana, Monday.com, or similar) to manage tasks or schedules
