What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entrepreneurship Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- On-site role at Alpha School campuses in New York City, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Barbara, CA
- Annual compensation of $150,000, distributed weekly. Full health benefits begin on day one.
- Relocation assistance provided
Alpha leverages AI-driven 1-on-1 instruction to enable students to complete core academic work in roughly two hours each day. The remaining time is dedicated to life competencies, self-directed projects, and meaningful development. At Alpha's most demanding campuses, learners require more than oversight. They require a credible mentor whose personal track record establishes legitimacy: someone capable of assessing group dynamics, defining expectations, and guiding students through friction, distraction, and doubt.
Your role is not instruction. It is mentorship, challenge, and accountability—holding students to the same exacting benchmark you applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time is spent in direct 1-on-1 and small-group coaching, identifying obstacles and setting stretch goals. Another forty percent involves facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for competency acquisition, not engagement theater. The final twenty percent is devoted to tone-setting rituals: deliberate morning launches that cultivate a culture where average is unacceptable.
The trajectory here emphasizes mastery, not hierarchy. You begin by internalizing Alpha's methodology and earning student trust. Within a few months, you become the adult they allow to challenge them beyond perceived limits. The payoff is not a title change. It is witnessing a student who avoided eye contact in September deliver a poised presentation to a room of professionals in May.
If you have been seeking a channel for your elite credentials to generate impact beyond personal achievement, submit your application now.
What You Will Be Doing
- Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics and student data to identify barriers, establish ambitious targets, and enforce accountability for execution
- Facilitating structured life-skills workshops focused on competency development, drawing on credible narratives from your own elite background, then validating mastery via Alpha's Test2Pass framework
- Establishing cultural expectations each morning through deliberate kickoffs that embed high-performance norms across the campus environment
- Monitoring student advancement in real time and refining coaching approaches based on evidence rather than intuition
- Cultivating trusted mentorship relationships with students and families by maintaining high standards, reliability, and formalized motivation strategies
- Creating lesson plans, developing curriculum, or evaluating assignments (Alpha's instructional model manages content delivery; your focus is on drive and accountability)
- Presenting to large groups of 30 students (your work centers on high-contact coaching in intimate settings, not mass instruction)
- Overseeing other personnel or advancing through administrative tiers (this position prioritizes direct learner impact over organizational rank)
- Attending faculty assemblies or navigating institutional red tape (your schedule remains student-centered)
- Reducing expectations to satisfy numerical targets (if a student achieves 99%, your task is diagnosing the gap to 100%)
Deliver outstanding student motivation, developmental progress, and life-competency mastery at Alpha's most rigorous campuses.
