What You Will Be Doing

• Facilitating one-hour life skills sessions with K-2 students, coaching them and reinforcing the reading instruction delivered by Reading Specialists
• Inspiring students to progress through adaptive learning applications and meet their weekly academic targets
• Guiding emotional regulation, resilience, and problem-solving through consistent routines and supportive engagement
• Monitoring student development and emerging needs, identifying concerns proactively, and modifying approaches in partnership with your team
• Building a classroom environment that balances structure, playfulness, and individualized attention
  
  

Basic Requirements

Early Childhood Educator key responsibilities

• Availability to work full-time and on-site at our campus in Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; Palo Alto, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Santa Monica, CA
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in any discipline
• 3 years of hands-on experience with children ages 4–8 in educational settings, afterschool programs, coaching roles, or comparable contexts
• Strong storytelling ability and dynamic presentation skills: capable of capturing and sustaining the focus of young children in group settings
• Capacity to maintain high expectations for both yourself and your students, and to motivate children toward goal achievement
• Growth mindset and receptiveness to coaching
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $60 USD/hour, which equates to $120,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
