What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Admissions, Alpha - $250,000/year USD position at Crossover?
This enrollment role does not prioritize volume. It exists to safeguard quality.
Alpha is constructing a school model unlike most others in ambition and design. Our campuses integrate academically rigorous curricula, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Student learning velocity regularly exceeds national norms, supported by measurable data. Afternoons shift toward deep learning, independent work, and preparation for practical challenges. The model delivers results. But those results depend entirely on enrolling the right families.
This is your mandate.
You will be accountable for the complete admissions experience at a single campus, spanning initial inquiry to final enrollment. This is not a role built on delegation. You own how families perceive Alpha, how thoroughly they grasp what we offer, and whether the decision to enroll reflects genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed dialogue, and, when necessary, advise against enrollment. The objective is not to maximize headcount. The objective is to ensure fit.
We welcome applicants from high-caliber service settings outside traditional schooling: selective independent schools, competitive admissions programs, premium hospitality brands, executive coordination, elite membership communities, or entrepreneurial ventures where you personally stewarded sophisticated client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a nuanced, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparent communication, and accountability.
If your career has centered on delivering exceptional, trust-driven service where brand perception hinges on discretion, experience, and reliability, this role will resonate—only now applied to work with measurable impact on student outcomes.
This is a full-time, salaried, on-campus position. We are currently hiring across Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, and San Francisco. Relocation assistance is provided.
