What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Success Director, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- On-site (multiple locations - details in Requirements)
- W2 Employee
- $200K/yr
You will be the individual they reach out to during moments of uncertainty, when intuition signals something is amiss, or when they wish to share an experience they know you will appreciate. Your understanding of each family will run deep enough to foresee their needs ahead of their articulation—and you will possess both the discernment and composure to address what arises with tact, sincerity, and seamless execution. Over time, your role will transcend being affiliated with their child's school. You will become woven into the narrative of how they navigate this stage of their family's journey.
That caliber of trust is not manufactured through procedure. It emerges from presence—daily, steady, patient. You will be accessible during morning arrivals and afternoon departures, present at evening gatherings that hold significance, and available for private exchanges that rarely appear on any schedule. You will shape a community families actively safeguard, where inclusion feels instinctive and referrals arise naturally from the quality of the experience.
Alpha operates outside traditional schooling paradigms. Students complete core academics within two hours each day via AI-driven applications, then dedicate remaining time to public speaking, critical reasoning, and practical projects. No conventional lectures. No redundant assignments. Performance in the top 1% nationally. The families selecting it invest in a vision they hold conviction about—but conviction requires nurturing.
You will sustain that dialogue with every family, through each uncertainty, for the duration of their child's enrollment. If advocating for an unconventional approach to discerning skeptics feels burdensome, this position is not suited to you. If it represents the most compelling discussion you could engage in, continue reading.
What You Will Be Doing
- Take full ownership of the relationship with every family on campus—the sustained, evolving connection that ensures parents feel understood, not simply attended to
- Identify and address concerns proactively, resolving them with the discretion and interpersonal sophistication that preserves trust
- Maintain visible presence during key moments: morning arrivals (7–9am), afternoon departures (2–4pm), evening parent gatherings, and select weekend activities
- Cultivate a campus culture with authentic depth—programming, rituals, and engagement points that foster a sense of belonging families actively defend
- Develop parent champions through organic relationship-building, delivering experiences of such consistent quality that referrals emerge as a natural byproduct
- Navigate the continuous dialogue surrounding Alpha's AI-powered approach with families managing screen time considerations, skeptical relatives, and occasional reservations—not limited to enrollment, but throughout their entire campus tenure
- Recognize when a family alignment is unsuitable and address it with the same poise you apply universally—safeguarding the community is integral to serving it
- Establish the structures and rhythms this position demands in a setting where the operational framework remains emergent
- Overseeing enrollment—that falls under the Admissions Director's purview; your engagement commences when families enroll and intensifies thereafter
- Operating from behind a desk—your visibility within the community defines the role
- Adhering to conventional 9–5 schedules—early starts, extended afternoons, and evening programming are inherent to the position, not anomalies
- Depending on administrative infrastructure, standardized procedures, or complete staffing—you function with substantial autonomy and create what is needed
- Approaching family relationships as transactional accounts—this role rewards authentic connection over procedural adherence
Serve as the central trusted relationship for every family's Alpha experience. Maintain their confidence through challenging moments, foster a community where belonging feels meaningful, and establish conditions under which satisfied families naturally become vocal advocates.
Basic Requirements
- Currently live within commuting range of one of these campuses OR willing to relocate within 60 days (preference for candidates with established local ties): Denver, CO; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Tampa, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Charlotte, NC; Las Vegas, NV; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Dallas (Carrollton), TX; Fort Worth, TX; Houston (The Woodlands), TX; Park City, UT; Burlington, VT; Kirkland, WA; or Jackson Hole, WY
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- 5 years in a relationship-focused capacity serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families—private school admissions, premium hospitality, philanthropic advising, or any setting where discretion, interpersonal warmth, and social sophistication were as critical as technical competence
- Proven capacity to maintain relationships through challenging circumstances with sophisticated families and preserve trust throughout
- Authentic presence and communication approach that builds confidence rapidly with affluent, high-expectation families—polished in a manner that feels genuine rather than rehearsed
- Direct familiarity with independent, private, or alternative education—through professional experience or as a parent—that provides credible perspective when families challenge the model
- Sincere conviction in AI-driven education and the capacity to sustain that belief authentically across years of family relationships, extending well beyond initial enrollment discussions
- Availability for non-standard hours: early mornings (7–9am), late afternoons (2–4pm), evening programming 2–3x/month, and periodic weekend engagements

- Pre-existing connections within the local affluent network that would provide immediate, organic integration on campus
- Private or independent school background with demonstrated success in family retention and community cultivation—beyond enrollment metrics alone
- Experience managing high-stakes family dynamics where your judgment and discretion were the foundation of sustained trust
- A talent for designing experiences—gatherings, moments, atmospheres—where individuals feel part of something they wish to safeguard
- Prior startup or early-stage organizational experience where you constructed from the ground up and maintained composure through rapid change
