What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Success Director, Alpha - $200,000/year USD position at Crossover?
- On-site (multiple cities – see Requirements section)
- W2 Employee
- $200K/yr
You'll be the person they reach out to when uncertainty arises, when intuition signals something's not quite right, or when they want to share a milestone they know you'll appreciate. You'll understand each family deeply enough to foresee their needs before they voice them—and you'll possess the judgment and poise to address whatever they bring you with confidentiality, genuine care, and seamless execution. Over time, you won't simply be associated with their child's school. You'll become woven into the way they navigate this season of their family's journey.
This level of trust isn't manufactured through procedure. It's earned through presence—daily, steady, unhurried. You'll be there at morning arrival and afternoon departure, at evening gatherings that hold significance, and in private conversations that never appear on any schedule. You'll cultivate a community families want to protect, where inclusion feels natural and word-of-mouth spreads because the experience justifies it.
Alpha operates differently from conventional schools. Students complete their core academics in two hours daily via AI-powered applications, then dedicate the remainder of their time to public speaking, critical thinking, and hands-on projects. No traditional lectures. No unnecessary assignments. Top 1% outcomes nationwide. The families who select Alpha are investing in something they value deeply—but conviction requires nurturing.
You'll sustain that dialogue with every family, through every uncertainty, for the duration of their child's enrollment. If articulating an unconventional approach to discerning skeptics feels like a weight, this position isn't the right match. If it feels like the most compelling dialogue you could engage in, continue reading.
What You Will Be Doing
- Take ownership of the relationship with every family on campus—the evolving, strengthening connection that makes parents feel understood, not merely attended to
- Identify concerns before they surface as discussions, and address them with the discretion and interpersonal skill that preserves trust
- Maintain visible presence where families gather: morning arrival (7–9am), afternoon departure (2–4pm), evening parent gatherings, and periodic weekend programming
- Create a campus community with authentic depth—programs, rituals, and interactions that make families feel they're part of something worth safeguarding
- Develop parent champions naturally, delivering experiences so reliably outstanding that referrals emerge as the expected result
- Sustain the ongoing dialogue about Alpha's AI-driven approach with families managing screen time concerns, doubtful relatives, and periodic uncertainty—not only during enrollment, but across their entire campus experience
- Recognize when a family isn't aligned and navigate that situation with the same care you apply to everything else—preserving the community is integral to serving it
- Establish the systems and cadences this position demands in a setting where the blueprint is still being developed
- Overseeing enrollment—that falls within the Admissions Director's scope; your work begins when families commit and deepens continuously
- Operating from behind a desk—your visibility within the community defines the role
- Maintaining standard 9–5 hours—early mornings, late afternoons, and evening programming are fundamental to the position, not occasional requirements
- Expecting administrative infrastructure, established protocols, or a complete team—you function with significant autonomy and create what's needed
- Approaching family relationships as transactional accounts—this role rewards authentic engagement, not procedural adherence
Serve as the trusted anchor at the heart of every family's Alpha experience. Maintain their confidence through challenging moments, foster a community where belonging feels substantial, and establish the environment where contented families become enthusiastic advocates.
Basic Requirements
- Currently living within commuting range of one of these campuses OR prepared to relocate within 60 days (preference given to candidates with established local community ties): Denver, CO; Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Tampa, FL; Boston, MA; Bethesda, MD; Charlotte, NC; Las Vegas, NV; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Park City, UT; Burlington, VT; Kirkland, WA; or Jackson Hole, WY
- Authorized to work legally in the U.S. without sponsorship
- 5 years in a relationship-focused role serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth families—private school admissions, luxury hospitality, philanthropy, or any setting where discretion, warmth, and interpersonal fluency were equally important as competence
- Proven capacity to maintain relationships through challenging situations with sophisticated families and exit with trust reinforced
- Authentic presence and communication approach that builds confidence rapidly with affluent, high-expectation families—not refined in a manner that appears rehearsed
- Direct familiarity with independent, private, or non-traditional education—through professional experience or as a parent—that provides you credible standing when families challenge the model
- Authentic conviction in AI-powered education and the capacity to sustain that belief genuinely throughout years of parent relationships, not exclusively during the enrollment phase
- Availability for adaptable hours: early mornings (7–9am), late afternoons (2–4pm), evening gatherings 2–3x/month, and occasional weekend programming
Outstanding candidates will possess at least one of the following:
- Established connections within the local affluent community that would provide you an immediate, organic foundation on campus
- Private school or independent school background with a demonstrated history of family retention and community strength—not simply enrollment metrics
- Experience managing high-stakes family relationships where your judgment and confidentiality were the foundation of sustained trust
- A natural talent for designing experiences—gatherings, moments, settings—where people feel they're part of something worth defending
- Prior startup or early-stage experience where you constructed from the ground up and maintained composure when circumstances shifted rapidly
