Position Summary: The Licensed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and family-friendly environment for athletes, coaches, officials, spectators, and staff during Crossover Athletics events. Licensed Security Guards provide a visible security presence, enforce facility policies, respond to incidents, and assist with crowd management while representing Crossover Athletics with professionalism and integrity. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, or event security experience preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and stand or walk for extended periods.
Required Armed Security Certifications: Applicants carrying a firearm must possess:
- Valid Texas Level III Commissioned Security Officer License (Armed Security License).
- Completion of a Texas DPS-approved Level III training course.
- Current handgun qualification and firearms proficiency certification.
- Maintain all required licensing and renewals in good standing under Texas law.
Primary Responsibilities.
- Patrol entrances, exits, courts, hallways, and parking lots.
- Inspect every bag entering the facility to ensure no outside food or drinks, weapons, or other prohibited items are brought inside. Politely explain facility policies and notify the Tournament Director or Event Director of any issues or refusals to comply.
- Monitor spectators and enforce facility rules.
- Assist with crowd control and restricted area access.
- Respond to disturbances using de-escalation techniques whenever possible.
- Report incidents, injuries, suspicious activity, and safety concerns to the Tournament Director.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
- Assist guests by providing directions and information.
- Complete a final security check before leaving the facility.

- CPR/First Aid
- AED Certification
- Stop the Bleed
- Crisis Intervention or De-escalation Training
- Active Shooter Response Training
- Crowd Management Training

- Wear an approved security uniform and maintain a professional appearance.
- Remain alert and actively patrol assigned areas.
- Limit cell phone use to business or emergency purposes.
- Treat all guests with fairness, respect, and professionalism.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all Crossover Athletics policies and applicable Texas laws.
- Use force only when legally justified and only as a last resort to protect life and safety.
Work Schedule
- Saturdays and Sundays during tournament weekends.
- Scheduled events during the week
- Must be available for early morning setup, tournament operations, and facility closeout.
