Senior Contract Attorney – Real Estate Legal Responsibilities
- Lead the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate, including contract drafting, negotiation, title analysis, and survey review
- Conduct title examination and title research, with strong working knowledge of land court and registry of deeds requirements
- Draft and negotiate commercial leases, licenses, easements, and related real estate agreements
- Manage third-party property matters and disputes involving commercial entities, governmental agencies, railroads, and private individuals
- Support cross-functional initiatives affecting the company’s property portfolio
- Perform legal research and prepare high-quality legal memoranda for business and legal stakeholders
Senior Contract Attorney – Real Estate Legal Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Admission to and good standing with the Massachusetts Bar
- 5–10 years of commercial real estate law experience, with title experience required
- Proven background handling high-volume, fast-paced transactional matters from inception through closing
- Direct experience with purchases, sales, leases, easements, licenses, and similar agreements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills
- Admission to the NY, NH, or VT Bar
- Experience in the energy, utility, or other regulated sectors
