Procurement Specialist

This position is responsible for executing purchasing processes for goods and/or services on behalf of internal clients. The Procurement Specialist supports purchasing activities, vendor administration, reporting, and procurement program support.

Procurement Specialist Details

Contract Length: 1 year

Location: Newark, NJ

Work Setup: Hybrid, (Come into the Newark General Office on Thursdays and other days only as needed for business partner meetings. Otherwise work Remotely)

Procurement Specialist Responsibilities

• Purchase non-complex materials and services.
• Purchase from existing master agreements.
• Provide reports in support of internal auditing, Sarbanes-Oxley testing, and internal self-assessments.
• Maintain and analyze contract management software files.
• Complete new vendor request forms.
• Support administration of procurement-managed programs.
• Follow and support all purchasing processes and documentation requirements.
• Assist clients and suppliers in resolving invoice issues.
  
  

Procurement Specialist Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Supply chain experience.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with Excel spreadsheets.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Reading comprehension skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize work and work independently.
• Demonstrated proficiency working with computers.

• Intermediate level.
• Typically up to approximately 4 years of experience performing this job function.
