Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced leader to join our team as the Youth Program Manager. This individual will be responsible for the overall direction, development, and management of all youth-related programs, including our Child Care, Summer Camp, Mother's Day Out, and other seasonal or specialized youth activities. The ideal candidate will be a creative visionary with a strong background in childhood development and program management, dedicated to creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment that aligns with the Cross Gates mission of promoting family wellness.

Responsibilities:

Program Development & Management:

• Design, plan, and execute a comprehensive calendar of youth programs, including daily child care, seasonal camps (e.g., Summer, Holiday), Mother's Day Out, and other special events.
  
  
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula and activities that are fun, engaging, and promote physical, social, and emotional development for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
  
  
• Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and member satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
  
  Team Leadership & Development:
  
  
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise the entire youth program team, including child care providers and camp counselors.
  
  
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive team culture that reflects the friendly and professional values of Cross Gates.
  
  
• Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and provide ongoing coaching and professional development.
  
  Operational Excellence:


• Oversee the daily operations of all youth facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and parents.
  
  
• Ensure all programs are compliant with state and local regulations, as well as company health and safety standards.
  
  
• Manage the departmental budget, including revenue forecasting, expense control, and purchasing of supplies and equipment.
  
  Parent & Member Engagement:


• Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, building strong relationships through clear and consistent communication.
  
  
• Address parent questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  
  

• Actively promote youth programs to club members and the community to drive enrollment and participation.

Requirements:

• MUST LOVE CHILDREN, MUST BE FUN!

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a management or leadership role within child care, camp administration, recreation, or a related field.

  
  
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Recreation Management, Elementary Education, or a related field is highly preferred.
  
  
• Proven experience in program development, curriculum design, and staff management.
  
  
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  
  
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with a talent for managing multiple priorities.
  
  
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
  
  
• Must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications or be willing to obtain them upon hiring.
  
  
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
  
  

• Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as required by program schedules.

Compensation:

• $35,000-$50,000 per year

• Based on experience
