Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and managing sterile fields
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
- Adapt to a range of procedures including orthopedic, cardiovascular, and general surgery
- Qualifications
- Candidates must meet one of the following educational and certification paths:
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program (CAAHEP or ABHES) and active certification (NBSTSA, JCAHPO, or NCCT)
- Completion of an Armed Forces or Public Health Service surgical tech training program with 16 hours of continuing education every two years
- “Grandfathered” surgical techs with relevant experience (2014-2017) and 16 hours of continuing education every two years
- BLS Certification (AHA) required at time of hire
- $8,000 sign-on bonus for eligible hires
