Position Summary
- We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to join our Women’s Imaging team in Everett, WA. The Mammography Technologist performs high-quality breast imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and diagnostic accuracy in both screening and diagnostic settings. This position plays a key role in the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease, working closely with radiologists and other members of the healthcare team.
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography in accordance with established protocols, physician orders, and regulatory standards
- Operate mammography and related imaging equipment, ensuring proper image quality and patient positioning
- Provide patient education, comfort, and emotional support throughout procedures
- Maintain accurate records and documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and support staff to coordinate care and imaging workflow
- Comply with all applicable state, federal, and facility regulations including MQSA and ACR standards
- Assist with quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives in the imaging department
- Perform or assist in breast ultrasound imaging as trained and assigned
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment
- Associate Degree OR completion of a two-year accredited technical program in radiologic technology
- Completion of an approved program in Radiologic Technology
- Washington State Radiologic Technologist License - required upon hire
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association - required upon hire
- Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - required upon hire
- Registered Technologist in Mammography (R.T.(M)) - ARRT - must be obtained within 1 year of hire
- Advanced training in breast ultrasound
- Experience performing screening mammography
