Job Summary:

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) role located in Charleston, South Carolina. This position involves providing high-quality post-surgical patient care, evaluating and monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort. The RN will deliver patient education, prepare patients for surgery, and respond to emergencies as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week


• Required Qualifications: Associate Degree (APRN) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or (RN) Registered Nurse; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 90 days of employment start date; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification within 90 days of employment start date; 0 years of experience required

• Additional Information: Responsibilities include evaluating patients prior to surgery, providing patient and family education regarding peri-operative processes, assisting with patient preparation such as intravenous therapy and preoperative medications, participating in surgical site verification, recognizing and responding to patient emergencies, and documenting patient conditions and care thoroughly. Candidates will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based care and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
