Job Summary:

Endoscopy Lab Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Boise, Idaho. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in an Endoscopy unit that supports various procedural suites, including main operating room, cardiovascular operating room, and intensive care unit. The RN will perform a range of endoscopic procedures for diverse patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric patients, with a focus on sedation administration and intra-procedural support.

Job Details:

• Location: Boise, Idaho


• Schedule: 4 days per week, 9-hour shifts, starting between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.


• Required Qualifications: Must have a valid license to submit, at least 1 year of inpatient hospital endoscopy experience, and certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS.


• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience is preferred.


• Float: Not typical; may be asked to float to sister facilities in certain specialties or as a sitter, rarely.


• Additional Information: The role involves floating between Pre-op, Intra-op, and Post-op/PACU areas within the Endoscopy unit. Candidates should be comfortable with sedation, including administration of propofol. The position includes rotating night calls once per week, with a 30-minute response time, and may require holiday call rotation. Orientation consists of 3-4 shifts with a preceptor for RNs and techs. Uniform dress code and scrub color are provided by the hospital. Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.
