Job Summary
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialty position is located in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This position involves providing care within a Level 1B NICU, supporting late preterm and newborns with health issues using advanced neonatal technology and protocols. The role focuses on delivering specialized neonatal care in a continuing care nursery environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift with 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a Massachusetts RN license, at least two years of current NICU experience within the past year, and active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience. Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic medical records and ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) approach for opioid-exposed infants is highly preferred. Knowledge in managing infants with Transient Tachypnea (TTN), blood sugar stabilization, and respiratory support, including high flow nasal cannula, is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neonatal opioid-exposed babies, TTN, and respiratory support.
- Additional Information: Applicants must include their permanent address in the profile, have their own vehicle, and note all requested time off during the application process. - Notes: Residing within 50 miles of the facility disqualifies candidates. No more than five days of request for time off will be accepted, and all requests must be verified and noted upfront.
