Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/31/2026 Duration: 20 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry (MS TELE) for a unit located in Wisconsin. This role involves providing expert nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions, primarily focusing on acute adult medical-surgical patients with telemetry needs. The position is scheduled for night shifts and requires a dedicated professional capable of managing a fast-paced clinical environment. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse (RN) license; BLS certification from the American Heart Association; 1 year of acute care nursing experience; candidates must reside within 80 miles of the facility. Patient Care and Unit Information: The unit has 29 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios ranging from 1:4 to 1:6 during night shifts. Patients typically present with orthopedic trauma, vascular, urology, neuro-spine, oncology, and acute medical conditions. Responsibilities: Managing patients with complex needs, including titration of drips such as heparin, nitro, Bivalirudin, Cardizem, and insulin, following prescribed nomograms. RNs are not required to read telemetry strips, as telemetry techs monitor the screens. Charge nurses and house supervisors take assigned duties on all shifts. Nursing assistants are present on the unit, with staffing ratios from 1:8-10 during daytime and 1 CNA during overnight shift. Equipment and Support: Use of CPAP, BIPAP, high-flow oxygen therapies, with no ventilators. RT support is available. Additional Information: No self-scheduling; block scheduling is used based on staffing. Every other weekend and holiday work is required. There are no call or standby requirements. Float to other adult medical/surgical units is expected. Scrubs of any color are acceptable if kept clean and professional. Orientation includes one day of computer training and 1-2 days of precepted floor orientation. Clinicians previously employed with this organization must have an end date at least six months prior to submission.
