Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) for a shift in Newburgh, Indiana. The position involves working during night hours on weekends, with a focus on acute care in a Level II Trauma unit. This role requires a resilient and adaptable professional capable of managing change effectively within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Newburgh, IN
- Position: Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN)
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every weekend (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday)
- Schedule: 36 hours per week with guaranteed hours, subject to unit closures during holidays
- Start Date: 08/10/2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Required Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Licensure: IN/Compact state license for Indiana
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of ER nursing experience, with a minimum of 0 years required for additional settings
- Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Charting/Equipment: Epic electronic medical record system, recent within the past year
- Unit Specific Skillset: Level II Trauma certification; pediatric experience preferred
- Additional Details: Candidate must pass 12-lead EKG and dysrhythmia exam, and possess social resilience, high work ethic, and strong change management skills. Floating is not required.
- Interview Days and Types: Available Monday through Friday; MSP (Managed Service Provider) interview process.
- Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday
