Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in Spokane, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care for neonates with a variety of complex medical conditions in a Level 3 trauma center. The role requires a committed HCP to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Job Details
- Location: Spokane, WA 99204
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, 2 years NICU experience in a Level 3 facility, current licensure in Washington
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Draeger volume ventilation, NIPPV, bubble CPAP, HFOV, familiarity with EPIC charting system, experience with central lines (UAC, PICC, UVC), support on the unit including charge nurse, neonatologist, neonatal nurse practitioner, respiratory therapist
- Float: Float rotation may be required, with 2-3 shifts per week possible; 1 shift guaranteed in NICU per week for travelers
- Orientation: General hospital orientation plus 2-2.5 shifts on the unit required before start
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for patients gestation 22 weeks and greater, with no surgical interventions. Patient ratios are 1:2-3, acuity dependent, with a need for advanced skills such as nitric oxide administration, total body cooling, and NAS care. Incumbent must complete and pass telemetered competency prior to start.
