Job Summary
Lynd, Labor and Delivery (L&D), located in an acute healthcare facility setting, requires an experienced Health Care Professional to provide specialized care in the Labor and Delivery Department. The role involves supporting high-risk obstetric patients, managing postnatal care, and ensuring safety and comfort for mothers and newborns during shifts scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The position demands prior travel experience and a minimum of five years of high-risk L&D experience.
Job Details
- Position Description: Responsibilities include managing high-risk obstetric cases in a unit featuring 12 postpartum rooms, four swing/antepartum rooms, five labor rooms, four triage rooms, and two operating rooms. This role involves supporting patient monitoring, participating in unit activities, and maintaining clinical standards with a focus on maternal and neonatal safety.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in NRP, ACLS, and BLS. Prior OB experience specific to high-risk pregnancies. Must have at least five years of experience in L&D. Prior travel experience is required.
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., including mandatory weekend and call rotation.
- Additional Information: The unit utilizes Epic EMR and Pysis for medication administration and documentation. Vents include alaris pumps, epidural pumps, and PAS lower extremity pumps. IVS to interview; manager to make offers. Overtime may be required as part of unit rotation, including a four-hour mandation block if needed. Call rotation is required, and high-risk patient care is a focus of this position.
