Job Summary:

ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse position is located in a healthcare facility that manages critically ill patients across various specialized units. The role involves independent patient care, managing titratable drips, and performing bedside procedures within a dynamic critical care environment. The assignment includes a rotating schedule with shared responsibilities across multiple ICU departments.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, day/night rotate, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required.


• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license with at least 2 years of ICU critical care experience in a large hospital (over 250 beds), including trauma experience at a level 1 trauma center. Must have experience titrating vasopressor drips and familiarity with EPIC charting system. Certifications must include BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), and NIHSS.


• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with bedside procedures such as RSI, EVD placement, tracheostomy, and line placement. Proficiency in managing multiple medication infusions including sedatives, analgesics, and antiarrhythmics.

  • This role involves managing 1-3 critically ill patients with varying patient populations including neuro, cardiac, surgical, trauma, and medical.
  
  
  • Float requirements include coverage across all critical care units and operating within ratios up to 4:1.
  
  
  • Orientation totals 32 hours, divided into hospital, ICU, and unit-specific training during the first week.
  
  
  • The candidate must call in prior to each shift to determine the specific unit assignment.
  
  
  • Bed capacity for this unit is 32 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
  
  
  • Must badge in and out at the facility and wear navy blue scrubs.
