Job Summary:

Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) registered nurse position available in Utica, New York. This role involves providing care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Utica, New York


• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.


• Required Qualifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; active New York License; at least 0 years of experience; current certifications listed above; must have a valid drivers license with matching address; experience with EPIC electronic medical record; ability to document travel experience.


• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in IMCU/Progressive Critical Unit roles, experience with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory patient care, familiarity with specialty equipment including Temp pacer, Chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, Neptune Vapo Vents, and caring for patients with chronic vents.


• Additional Information: Floating is required; scrubs color is navy blue; unit has 64 beds with 15 designated neuro beds; patient demographic range is 18 years and older; common diagnoses include COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-operative care.
