Job Summary:
The ICU Nurse position is based in Glenview, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized care in an intensive care unit setting, primarily on night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The organization is seeking experienced ICU nurses with a valid Illinois license, who are proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems using EPIC, and who have passed an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 36 hours per week preferred, with flexibility up to 48 hours as needed, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois nursing license, CPR certification, ACLS certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, active clinical EPIC charting experience, and at least 2 years of critical care experience in an ICU setting (cardiac and/or neuro experience preferred). Candidate must have passed an EKG test with a minimum score of 80%.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiac or neuro ICU, proficiency in EPIC electronic health records.
- Float: Contracted to a specific ICU unit; may be asked to float to other ICU units on the same campus, including MICU support.
- Additional Information: The organization has two ICU units and may require working every other weekend. This role does not require on-call duties.
- Submission Requirements: Updated resume, Skills Checklist (completed within 12 months), one recent reference (within 12 months), Illinois license verification, and EKG test score confirmation.
- Experience Requirements: 0 years minimum, but candidates should possess strong ICU experience, preferably in cardiac or neurological care.
