Job Type: Full-time with overtime

Experience: 1 year preferred (Will train)

Reports to: Foreman, no supervisory responsibility

Wage: $25 - $30 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

The Concrete Finisher will have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete paving technology and equipment. The Concrete Finisher is a full-time, seasonal position that requires travel with overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of concrete paving technology and equipment.
• Experience setting and stripping forms.
• Prepare the grade.
• Pour, screed, edge, and joint concrete.
• Bull float and roll curbs.
• Apply texture and cure concrete to prevent future problems.
• Setting string line.
• Finish concrete.
• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours).

  
  Position Requirements:

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test.
• Basic maintenance skills.
• Equipment operation experience.
• Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal.
• Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work.
• A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.
• Continuous exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, noise, dusty conditions, and working outdoors.
