We are seeking an experienced EPC Manager to lead large-scale data center projects, ensuring seamless execution across every phase—with a strong emphasis on manufacturing integration and disciplined change management to protect cost, quality, and schedule.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The EPC Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of complex data center projects from engineering through procurement, manufacturing, and construction. This role provides strategic leadership across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with client requirements. Acting as the central point of coordination, the EPC Manager applies technical and commercial expertise while fostering strong client relationships.
The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $160,000 - $200,000. Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Leadership & Execution
- Oversee the full EPC lifecycle, from design development through procurement, manufacturing, construction, and turnover.
- Lead cross-functional project teams—including engineers, contractors, and manufacturing partners—to achieve milestones.
- Anticipate risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to protect schedule and budget.
- Apply structured change management to assess design/scope impacts, align stakeholders, and communicate decisions to ensure successful project outcomes.
Engineering, Procurement & Manufacturing Oversight
- Coordinate with design/engineering to ensure constructability, manufacturability, and alignment with client standards.
- Manage procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and logistics for critical equipment and materials.
- Partner closely with the manufacturing team to validate capacity, resources, and material availability; monitor factory progress, escalate bottlenecks, and support and drive for application of best practices to achieve cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
Construction Management
- Direct field execution activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Oversee subcontractor performance and resolve site challenges with agility and accountability.
- Monitor construction progress and drive corrective actions to maintain project momentum.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary client-facing leader, providing regular updates, risk assessments, and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal leadership.
- Partner with finance and executives to ensure transparency on budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience in commercial/industrial construction, with proven exposure to manufacturing operations (modular or off-site construction highly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines, procurement processes, and manufacturing best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on schedule and within budget.
- Proven experience leading structured change management processes—evaluating scope/design changes, assessing impact to cost and schedule, and driving cross-functional alignment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage subcontractors in a high-performance environment.
- Proven track record of developing successful working partnerships across complex organizations and ability to manage stakeholders both internally and externally
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP/MRP and PLM/ECN workflows preferred.
- Willingness to travel 30-50% to factories and job sites as required.
