Position Overview

The EPC Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of complex data center projects from engineering through procurement, manufacturing, and construction. Acting as the central point of coordination, the EPC Manager applies technical and commercial expertise while fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Oversee the full EPC lifecycle, from design development through procurement, manufacturing, construction, and turnover.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams—including engineers, contractors, and manufacturing partners—to achieve milestones.
  • Anticipate risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to protect schedule and budget.
  • Apply structured change management to assess design/scope impacts, align stakeholders, and communicate decisions to ensure successful project outcomes.

Engineering, Procurement & Manufacturing Oversight

  • Coordinate with design/engineering to ensure constructability, manufacturability, and alignment with client standards.
  • Manage procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and logistics for critical equipment and materials.

Construction Management

  • Direct field execution activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and resolve site challenges with agility and accountability.
  • Monitor construction progress and drive corrective actions to maintain project momentum.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary client-facing leader, providing regular updates, risk assessments, and reporting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal leadership.
  • Partner with finance and executives to ensure transparency on budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive experience in commercial/industrial construction, with proven exposure to manufacturing operations (modular or off-site construction highly preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines, procurement processes, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Proven experience leading structured change management processes—evaluating scope/design changes, assessing impact to cost and schedule, and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage subcontractors in a high-performance environment.
  • Proven track record of developing successful working partnerships across complex organizations and ability to manage stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ERP/MRP and PLM/ECN workflows preferred.
