Crisis Connections’ WA Warm Line is seeking a Peer Shift Mentor who brings lived experience, recovery values, and a passion for connection. In this role, you’ll support callers seeking understanding and hope—while also mentoring and uplifting the volunteers who serve them. Your presence on shift helps create a calm, welcoming, and recovery-centered environment where everyone feels supported.

What You’ll Do
- Answer Warm Line calls using peer support and recovery-oriented practices
- Serve as the on-shift mentor and support for volunteer phone workers
- Debrief calls, especially after difficult or escalated situations
- Support and guide new volunteers during their onboarding and apprenticeship period
- Participate in role-play trainings and quality assurance activities
- Collaborate with Warm Line leadership to foster a supportive, trauma-informed team culture
- Part-time: Minimum of three 8-hour shifts per week
- Current schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday | 1:30–9:30 PM
- Location: Onsite in Seattle, WA
What we’re looking for
- Certified Peer Counselor (WA) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months
- Strong grounding in recovery principles and peer support values
- Advanced in your own recovery journey
- Calm, empathetic, and collaborative communication style
- Experience providing peer support (Warm Line or similar phone-based support preferred)
- Passion for mentoring others and building community on shift
