What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance & Contract Specialist position at CRIME VICTIMS ASSISTANCE CENTER INC?
Finance and Contract Specialist is responsible for providing staff support to the fiscal department and assist with contract related activities. Responsibities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with all agency fiscal functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly vouchers and fiscal cost reports to funders for CFO and CEO review.
- Ensure compliance with funder’s contracts.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of office and program equipment.
- Work closely with the CFO, Program Managers, CEO and Auditors to complete fiscal duties.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, or closely related field; minimum two years accounting experience, preferable with non-profit, grant funded programs; sensitivity to the issues of victimization and its prevention.
- Must complete victim services training and an additional ten hours of ongoing professional education each subsequent calendar year.
