About the Role:

We are recruiting on behalf of Ashley Furniture for a Visual Store merchandiser in Lynnwood, WA. In this creative role, you will bring home furnishing collections to life by designing and executing balanced showroom floor layouts, lifestyle vignettes, lighting, and decorative accessory displays.

Key Responsibilities (Visual Merchandising & Design):

• Execute balanced, aesthetically appealing showroom vignettes in alignment with Visual Leadership direction.
• Plan and arrange furniture groupings, focal walls, accent lighting, rugs, artwork, and decorative accessories.
• Remerchandise display zones and high-traffic areas regularly to highlight new arrivals and maximize product sell-through.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to unbox, inspect, tag, felt-dot, and stage incoming decorative accents.
• Maintain high standards of showroom floor recovery, ensuring upholstery, case goods, and lighting are impeccably maintained.

Key Responsibilities (Store Brand Alignment):

• Train and guide sales associates on brand visual presentation standards and showroom housekeeping.
• Maintain store audio-visual ambiance, including background music systems, digital displays, and signage heights.
• Stay current on prevailing interior design trends, color schemes, and textile styles to elevate showroom appeal.
• Assist store management with floor plan updates during seasonal transitions and bi-annual inventory counts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, or related field preferred; 2 years visual retail experience.
• Refined eye for spatial layout, color balance, home styling, and showroom composition.
• Ability to regularly lift objects over 50 lbs and maneuver loads up to 100 lbs (with assistance as needed).
• Flexibility to work retail schedules including floor move evenings, weekends, and seasonal set dates.
• Strong collaborative spirit to partner with store leadership, sales consultants, and warehouse personnel.
