Educational Assistant- Creswell Middle School (2 hours/day)

Creswell School District is seeking highly skilled candidates for a Educational Assistant position (2 hours per day) to join the outstanding staff at Creswell Middle School.

This position is open until filled. Applicant screening begins August 10th.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities include:

• Assist teachers in meeting the needs of students in a one-on-one or small group environments

Duties may include:

• Providing instructional assistance to students, with a wide range of ability levels, under the direction of licensed teachers,
• Completing clerical tasks including but not limited to word processing, filing, copying, and accurate record keeping,
• Correcting papers and scoring tests,
• Supervising students and assisting with classroom management,
• Initiating and completing highly technical duties specific to the current assignment,
• Attending staff meetings as required, and
• Other appropriate duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree or High School diploma and ability to pass WorkKeys proficiency tests
• Proficiency with Literacy and Numeracy skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with others
• Experience working with students
• Ability to work collegially with groups of other employees and support team decisions
• Ability to work independently
• Successful completion of fingerprint screening
