Position Summary
The Dental Clinic Practice Supervisor manages the daily operations, clinical support staff, and administrative functions of a dental office to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include scheduling, staff training, inventory management, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all daily clinical operations and administrative functions of a high volume and high functioning dental team as part of a federally qualified health center.
- Support the dentists and hygienists to practice at the top of their license.
- Responsible for supervising, leading and managing the dental assistants.
- Responsible for ensuring high levels of customer service are provided to all patients.
- Manage patient financial accounts, working closely with revenue cycle staff
Qualifications
Education
- High School diploma/GED and 1 additional year of experience required
- OR a bachelor’s degree
Work Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of dental clinic experience required.
- 3 years’ experience supervising staff and overseeing dental clinic operations, required.
Other (licensure, certifications)
- EDDA certified
- Xray certified
- CPR certified
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Extended periods of sitting required.
- Work is primarily office based.
- Some travel may be required.
- May need to lift up to 25 pounds in equipment and supplies
