We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to help oversee the daily operations at Crepe Therapy Cafe, a fast-casual, grab-and-go style French cafe with multiple locations in Boulder, CO. The ideal candidate will have a strong, proven background in food service management and a passion for creating an exceptional customer experience. This role requires a blend of leadership, customer service, and operational skills to ensure the café runs smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Along with the GM, manage daily café operations, including staff supervision, inventory control, and customer service.
- Implement budgets to ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Oversee food preparation and presentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Train, mentor, and schedule staff to optimize performance and enhance team dynamics.
- Manage Point of Sale (POS) systems for efficient transaction processing and reporting.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.
- Coordinate special events, monthly specials to attract customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management within casual dining or cafe settings is preferred.
- Strong understanding of budgeting processes and financial management in a food service context.
- Experience with coffee preparation necessary.
- Familiarity with shift management practices to ensure optimal staffing levels during peak hours.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of food service and health and safety standards.
- A passion for food preparation and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Ability to effectively manage two locations in conjunction with other supervisors and GM.
