GENERAL SUMMARY: Operation of various punch presses. Responsible for the production of parts in a safe manner following the routing described and the specifications required by the blueprint.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Experience
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
Skills
A good command of the English language is required, both written and spoken. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Ability to read and understand route sheets and blueprints and check parts to print.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to physically perform the essential functions of the job. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 24 lbs., frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Typically requires standing on a regular basis and walking occasionally. Stooping required for normal setup and operation of press. Must be able to handle parts for inspection, stack parts and move parts to next operation and/or work station. Specific vision requirements include depth perception and peripheral vision.
Working Conditions
Operation of punch presses is required. Regularly exposed to noise. Typically requires the use of a forklift and hoist. Hearing protection, safety glasses and steel-toed shoes with metatarsal protection are required.

- Perform a variety of setups and production involving the Punch Press operation including blanking, perforating and forming.
- Understand the entire Punch Press operation including: types of dies, shut height, RAM adjustment, safety guarding devices, material usage, etc.
- Report labor and job data accurately.
- Maintain quality, safety and efficiency.
- Maintain clean and neat work area.
- Perform other jobs within the department or plant as required by supervision.
