What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Director of Product Management position at Creative People?
About the Company
My client — a fast-growing, NYC-headquartered FinTech company — is redefining how people pay rent. It’s hard to believe that in 2025, paying rent on time is still expensive, inflexible, and complicated. This company is changing that by empowering renters with flexibility and control over their most significant recurring expense. After building a strong foundation of investor support and a passionate user base, they’re now looking for a Senior Director of Consumer Product to help scale their core experience.
About the Role
This person will own the backbone of the consumer experience — including acquisition, onboarding, activation, core retention, and new bets tied to the company’s flagship rent product. You’ll set the product vision, lead a talented team of PMs, and work cross-functionally to deliver a seamless, regulation-ready experience as the company continues to scale rapidly. You’ll report directly to the CPO.
Responsibilities
- Define the product vision and long-term roadmap for the Core Consumer business, tying strategy to measurable KPIs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers—coaching on discovery, execution, and career growth while fostering a culture of ownership and inclusion.
- Build and evolve products across acquisition, onboarding, and the core user experience—strengthening the foundation while launching new growth bets.
- Partner across Growth, Design, Engineering, Risk, Data, and GTM teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end renter journey.
- Own P&L impact for Core Consumer, optimizing unit economics, conversion, retention, and NPS.
- Champion product quality, experimentation, and process excellence across the org.
- Represent Consumer Product at the executive level, influencing company-wide decisions and serving as the voice of the customer.
Qualifications
- 10 years in product management, with 4 years leading PM managers in consumer or fintech environments.
- Proven success scaling consumer or payments products to millions of users under regulatory and quality constraints.
- Systems thinker with a track record of structuring complex, compounding roadmaps.
- Data-driven operator, fluent in analytics and experimentation frameworks.
- Exceptional communicator and cross-functional leader who drives alignment and momentum.
- Passionate about improving financial flexibility and accessibility for everyday consumers.
