Position Summary
As the Inventory Foreman at CMC, you’ll oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring accurate material counts, proper storage, and an efficient flow of goods throughout all shop locations. This hands on leadership role supervises kit builders, material handlers, and logistics functions while coordinating cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and supporting production, shipping and receiving, and management teams. You will drive accountability, organization, and continuous improvement to maintain a smooth and accurate inventory system across the company.

- Day Shift: 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday (base pay $20/hr)
- Night Shift: 5 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday ($20/hr $2/hr shift differential)

Position Summary
As the Inventory Foreman at CMC, you’ll oversee daily inventory operations, ensuring accurate material counts, proper storage, and an efficient flow of goods throughout all shop locations. This hands on leadership role supervises kit builders, material handlers, and logistics functions while coordinating cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and supporting production, shipping and receiving, and management teams. You will drive accountability, organization, and continuous improvement to maintain a smooth and accurate inventory system across the company.
Key Responsibilities
Kit Builders
- Assess the needs of night shift production
- Maintain a steady and efficient working environment
- Provide solutions for kit building issues, including shortages or incorrect or bad items
- Oversee the “Part Request Chat” and verify items are being issued
- Ensure kits are checked out to the proper building
- Ensure material handlers are productive, efficient, and safe
- Perform regular observations of material handler activity
- Verify timely delivery of materials to production
- Ensure products are properly packaged and transported to correct locations
- Ensure all products in transit are placed on a transfer
- Confirm pallets and crates are properly labeled with receiving location and relevant information such as transfer number or heat or lot number
- Verify material for transport is properly staged prior to driver arrival
- Oversee second shift inventory operations across all CMC shops
- Provide training to production teams on proper inventory procedures such as requesting parts or issuing items to a building
- Assist with moving goods between shops, including transfer orders and driver requests
- Provide uplifting and encouraging leadership to the inventory team
- Perform evaluations, documentation, and leadership duties as required
- Ensure team members complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner
- Identify issues in inventory processes, stock levels, or recurring shortages and help formulate solutions
- Support the day to day operations of the entire inventory department
- Must have previous inventory experience in a similar field, preferably in a leadership or management role
- Experience in inventory, warehousing, or materials control
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, production focused environment
- Ability to communicate clearly with production, logistics, and management
- Familiarity with inventory software, cycle counting, and material flow is a plus
