What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paint Manager position at Creative Liquid Coatings?
Here at Creative Liquid Coatings we do far more than just liquid coatings. Over the past 30 years the business has expanded to offer advanced plastic injection molding capability with 40 machines ranging in size from 100 ton to 3600 ton at our HQ facilities. In addition to plastics molding we offer world class automated paint finishing capability. Our versatile paint lines can handle parts that are very small and all the way up to 10 feet long. We process an array of performance materials from commodity grades to custom blends and engineered thermoplastic resins.
SUMMARY
Responsible for the day to day painting operations within a manufacturing operation that specializes in injection molding and painting of large parts. We require significant experience in top coat paint and automation equipment. 2k Paint experience is a plus. Candidates should be a self-starter, with the ability to make decisions employing quick and practical problem-solving techniques.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure the creation of successful paint robot programs for all part styles.
· Ensure the proper maintenance of all paint processing equipment
· Continue to implement industry best practices for processes and new equipment.
· Work to maintain first time quality targets for all product lines.
· Implement production processes with continuous improvement.
· Create documentation for production support and data collection.
· Create and update process Control Plans and FMEA.
· Develop training programs and materials for production Team Leaders, Technicians, and Operators.
· Select vendors for equipment and production materials.
· Develop and issue criteria to vendors for items supplied.
· Determine stock items and quantities for equipment spare parts and production materials.
· Define preventative maintenance items and schedules for equipment.
· Initiate work orders for equipment problems.
· Responsible for environmental, health, and safety issues in manufacturing area.
· Establish safety rules and guidelines.
· Participate in the planning of personnel safety and protection activities consistent with OSHA/IOSHA and all regulatory agency standards and guidelines and ensure all reporting associates are trained and comply.
· Keep abreast of materials related to the Company's needs, through trade publications, papers, seminars, and classes.
· Ensure compliance with all local, State, and Federal laws and statutes and other governmental regulations, which are directly applicable to the company.
· Establish area goals to support production and strategic initiatives.
· Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, production, and quality.
· Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
· Support TS-16949 and ISO-14001 initiatives.
· Coordinate safety efforts with Safety Administrator.
