Lead Early Childhood Teacher for Toddlers

Creative Learning Montessori School is adding to our staff!

Creative Learning Montessori School is a Montessori-inspired childcare center and Private School that has been in operation in the Village of Barrington since 1985. As a small program (total enrollment of about 70 kids from babies through elementary), we love the warm, nurturing environment we have been able to create for our students.

Position Details:

We have an immediate opening for a full-day teacher for our Infant/Toddler team. You would be working with children from infancy to 2.5 years of age. The position requires a five-day-a-week commitment (Monday-Friday). Our infant program has up to 7 children and our Toddler class has 9 students. The two classes work very much together, with a teacher and assistant for each group. We have decided to add a Support Teacher that will float between the two groups offering a lovely continuity for the children and staff. This team member would work full-time between our two little groups. We anticipate it making our program stronger than ever.

We are looking for staff members that are interested in making a long-term commitment to joining our staff. No previous experience is necessary (though we're happy to have experienced staff), our interest is in finding staff that are dedicated to providing quality, nurturing care to our students.

The minimum qualifications for this position are 60 credit hours of college classes with at least 6 credit hours related to child development (or 1 years of experience and 30 credit hours), or a CDA credential. Montessori training or experience is preferred, but not required.

This position starts at $20 per hour.
