Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Santa Cruz area who participate in the Self Determination Program (SDP)
The client we are currently recruiting for is an outgoing, creative man with an awesome support team. Sadly, his Friday staff can no longer fulfill this shift, so we are looking for a replacement to work 9am to 7pm on Friday.
MUST HAVE IHSS OR BE WILLING TO ENROLL.
Duties
- Provide oversight and support to an adult male who lives in his own home near the beach.
- Transport him in his community.
- Transport and attend Warriors basketball games on Friday evenings when in season.
- Support him in staying connected with his families and friends.
- Help coordinate plans with his friends.
Skills
- Prior experience in assisted neurodivergent adults.
- Ability to observe and adapt to support needs.
- Ability to model life and social skills in a relational way.
- Excellent team player
Compensation: IHSS hours are paid at $18.50 and SDP hours are paid at $28
Schedule: Friday 9am to 7pm. IHSS and SDP hours are both used.
Pay: $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
