What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Merchandising Specialist position at Creative Circle?
Our New York City-based footwear client has an immediate need for a Visual Merchandising Specialist with strong project management and 3D rendering skills. This onsite role will start in a contract capacity, and continue (40 hours per week) with the intention to convert to a full-time, salaried position with benefits.
This individual will play a hands-on role in bringing seasonal concepts to life - managing projects from concept through execution to support visual merchandising design and production initiatives across wholesale, retail, and experiential environments.
Visual Merchandising Specialist Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, production, and execution of wholesale tradeshows and meetings
- Create 3D technical drawing, renderings, and planograms for popups, tradeshows, and custom props
- Support the design of FFANY market showrooms, ensuring alignment with seasonal trends, and producing / sourcing props and decor with vendors
- Develop realistic 3D renderings for internal approvals
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors across multiple trades
- Manage licensee showroom decor and graphic flips
- Assist in the design and execution of monthly window displays for U.S. retail stores, working with vendors on production and installation
- Support the creation of visual merchandising collateral for international roadmaps
- Create clear directives to communicate design plans and visual initiatives
- Help design, produce, and install retail and marketing pop up shops
- Assist with bi-monthly floor flips and instore merchandising
- Manage projects end-to-end, including being onsite for installations and strikes
Visual Merchandising Specialist Requirements:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Experience with SketchUp and/or CAD for 3D drawings and renderings
- Strong sense of design, interiors, spatial planning, and visual storytelling
- Solid understanding of production processes, materials, and timelines
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
