Senior Public Relations Manager (Part-Time)

Our client, an integrated marketing agency, is seeking a Senior Public Relations Manager with deep experience in the Denver and Northern Colorado media landscape to support and lead PR strategy across client accounts.
This is a part-time role (~20 hours per week) with flexibility in scheduling and the potential to grow over time for the right fit. The role requires in-office presence a few days per week in Longmont, CO.
About the Role
The Senior Public Relations Manager is a strategic communications leader responsible for developing and executing PR strategies that elevate client brands and drive measurable results. This person will act as a senior PR partner across accounts and can confidently step into a client-facing leadership role when needed.
PR is fully integrated into broader marketing efforts-this is not a siloed role. You'll collaborate closely with account, creative, digital, and media teams to ensure earned media supports overall brand and business objectives.
What You'll Do
Develop and execute proactive and reactive PR strategies aligned with client goals and KPIs
Leverage existing relationships with Colorado-based media to secure meaningful coverage
Pitch and place compelling stories that position clients as industry leaders
Manage media relations, including outreach, interviews, and spokesperson prep
Write press releases, bylined articles, media materials, and executive communications
Support reputation management and crisis communications efforts
Monitor coverage, sentiment, and trends; provide insights and recommendations
Support PR initiatives tied to launches, events, and key announcements
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure integrated campaign delivery
Provide reporting and insights on PR performance and impact
Mentor junior team members and contribute to strengthening internal PR capabilities
What We're Looking For
10 years of public relations experience, ideally within an agency environment
Strong knowledge of the Denver and Northern Colorado media market with established press relationships
Proven ability to secure consistent, high-quality earned media
Excellent writing and storytelling skills
Strategic thinker who can connect PR efforts to broader business goals
Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Confident, collaborative, and client-facing
Role Details
