Our media and entertainment client in Culver City, CA, is looking for a Social Media Content Editor to join their team on a 6-month contract. This position is 40 hours a week and hybrid. You are required to be on site Tuesday through Thursday.
The Social Media Content Editor will be tasked with creating platform-native content that connects entertainment programming with target audiences across various social media channels. The role blends creative strategy, hands-on video editing, and a deep understanding of culture, fandom, and platform behavior to drive awareness, engagement, and audience growth.

Duties of the Social Media Content Editor:
-Develop social-first creative strategies and platform-native video concepts
-Edit and produce high-quality short-form video across TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and more
-Translate programming priorities into engaging content, fan moments, and talent-driven videos
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and storytelling approach while adapting to platform behaviors
- Identify trends, formats, and cultural moments to inform content direction
- Optimize content using performance insights and audience behavior
- Collaborate with marketing, production, and talent teams to maintain brand voice and creative excellence
- Partner with social strategy to monitor video performance and engagement trends
- Identify high-performing formats, editing styles, and storytelling approaches
Requirements of the Social Media Content Editor:
- A minimum of 4 years in social, creative, or entertainment marketing
- Portfolio of work
- Strong instincts for what performs on social and why
- Expertise in video editing, pacing, and storytelling
- Deep interest in entertainment culture, fandoms, and creators
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Capcut and social publishing tools
- Ability to lead projects from concept through execution in fast-paced environments
- Experience with entertainment brands, beauty, fashion, or talent workflows is highly preferred
- Background in social-first creative development or digital storytelling
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
