Senior Director, Account Management

Position Overview
Our client is a large experiential agency in the Boston area seeking a Senior Director of Account Management to join the team in a permanent role. This will be a hybrid on-site role 3 days per week on-site, 2 days remote.
This position is responsible for leading senior-level client relationships, driving long-term account growth, and delivering integrated marketing programs that engage Gen Z and Millennial audiences across experiential, digital, and social channels. The role partners closely with internal teams to ensure strong execution, financial performance, and client satisfaction across multiple accounts.
Core Responsibilities
- Client and Account Leadership
- Serve as the senior strategic lead for multiple client accounts
- Own client relationships, account strategy, and long-term growth planning
- Translate audience insights into integrated, multi-channel marketing programs
- Ensure quality, consistency, and on-time delivery across all work
- Identify performance-driven opportunities for organic account growth
- Integrated Campaign Oversight
- Lead development and execution of integrated campaigns across:
- Experiential and field marketing
- Influencer, social, and digital
- Media and community engagement
- Partner cross-functionally with strategy, creative, production, data, and media teams
- Financial and Operational Management
- Oversee account-level budgets, resourcing, and profitability
- Forecast financial performance and manage scopes of work and staffing
- Ensure efficient use of resources while meeting margin targets
- Business Development
- Lead client services input for new and expanded business opportunities
- Support pitching, strategy development, and budget creation
- Identify opportunities to expand capabilities and offerings
- Team Leadership and Culture
- Lead and mentor senior-level account team members
- Provide clear direction, feedback, and professional development
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture
Qualifications and Experience
- 10-12 years of experience in advertising or marketing with deep agency experience required
- Proven experience managing senior client relationships
- Strong strategic thinking with an audience-first mindset
- Ability to translate insights into clear, actionable programs
- Financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability management
- Natural people leader with high emotional intelligence
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and executional rigor
